Activation of Gamemasters on Hemis Mainnet
We are pleased to announce that Gamemaster nodes are being activated on the Hemis mainnet at 1200 UTC today. This marks a significant milestone in the development of our network, enhancing both its functionality and security.
What is a Gamemaster?
A Gamemaster node is a crucial component of the Hemis blockchain, designed to support the network by managing game logic and outcomes. Operating a Gamemaster node requires a collateral of 1,000 HMS tokens. In return, node operators earn a portion of block rewards, which are shared between themselves and the stakers. This incentivization is critical for maintaining the health and efficiency of the Hemis ecosystem.
Setting Up a Gamemaster Node
For those interested in supporting our network by running a Gamemaster node, there are two main options for setup:
- Self-Hosting: If you choose to self-host your Gamemaster node, you will have full control over your hardware and operations. Detailed instructions on how to set up a self-hosted Gamemaster node can be found here: https://github.com/Hemis-Blockchain/Hemis/wiki/Guide:-Gamemaster-(MAIN-NET)
- Third-Party Hosting: Alternatively, you may opt for third-party hosting services that support Hemis. This option can be ideal for those who prefer not to manage their hardware. Both options are viable and come with their own sets of benefits depending on your technical expertise and personal preferences.
Wallet Update Reminder
As part of this rollout, we urge all community members to update to the latest version of the Hemis wallet. This update is crucial for all users, regardless of whether you plan to operate a Gamemaster node. The latest wallet version includes important security updates and enhancements that will improve your experience and protect your assets.

You may need to delete your local blockchain files and resync the wallet after installing the update.
