After internal discussions and careful consideration, I have decided to close the Hemis project.
This follows a long period of stalled development and limited progress, particularly around PTX. I take full responsibility for the project not reaching its goals. Launching before key components were ready was my mistake, and it ultimately prevented Hemis from achieving the stability and credibility we aimed for.
The project has faced a series of challenges over the years, both technical and personal. After losing our lead developer and later Fabian, who had stepped in to replace him, I tried to carry the momentum myself but wasnโt able to sustain it.
This is not a handover or a relaunch. The project is ending. The blockchain will remain live for as long as community nodes continue to run, but there will be no further development or official updates. The Git Repo will remain public and I will make our PTX development repo open source.
Itโs personally difficult to close something I first set out to build in 2015. I wish it had gone differently, but at least I tried.
Thank you to everyone. Contributors, holders, and community members who believed in the project and gave it their time, trust, and support.
And finally thank you to the Hemis team for standing by me through a series of difficult moments over the last year. Your patience, understanding, and loyalty meant a great deal.
